A full-length ballet in which Farinelli's life is interwoven in all its facets.
The portrayal of his illusions and nightmares, mixed with his world successes and the realisation that fame and success are fleeting in old age, provide material that thrills and moves emotionally. The role of the famous castrato Farinelli - his real name was Carlo Broschi - is interpreted in the highest tones by countertenor Kevin Elsnig. Farinelli went down in history as the greatest vocal and singing wonder who ever lived. His incredible vocal range was particularly impressive. This touching story will be danced by the Europaballett St. Pölten and the Sopron Ballet. You will see the soloists Florient Cador and Dominik Vaida, both soloists of the Europaballett, in the leading roles. Production & Choreography: Artur Kolmakov and Peter Breuer, Music: G. F. Händel, D. Scarlatti, M. Nyman and Klaus Nomi
