Applause, applause for the Europaballett St. Pölten and Alfons Haider!
Despite reduced seating and consistently monitored Corona prevention rules, the atmosphere was great at the theatre's reopening on 21 and 22 May.The enthusiastic audience was treated to a terrific evening.
Alfons Haider hosted this evening skilfully and shone with socially critical and touching songs: "Not only cheerfulness and beautiful movements are in the foreground of the ballet, but also topics that touch the heart and make the audience think".
The evening began with the finest variations from "Etudes" by Carl Czerny, choreographed by Michael Fichtenbaum. Florient Cador, first soloist of the Europaballett, showed that he has something unmistakable to offer in the double role of dancer and choreographer. With "Can You Feel the Love Tonight", Alfons Haider sang his way into the hearts of the audience.
A wonderful evening that gave people the feeling of "a little returning freedom" and a desire for "more". We are ready for that:
On 29 and 30 May, the life of the legendary 20th century fashion designer - Coco Chanel, portrayed in Peter Breuer's story ballet, danced by the Europaballett St. Pölten, will be performed.
