The bat

At the turn of the year, the Theater des Balletts presented an impressive performance of the popular operetta "Die Fledermaus". Under the creative direction of Wolfgang Gratschmaier, an entertaining musical stage work was created with the Europaballett St. Pölten. The charming Natalia Ushakova shone in the leading role of Rosalinde, while the convincing Stephen Chaundy impressed as Eisenstein. The baritone Georg Lehner embodied Director Frank in a rousing way, and the audience was thrilled by Agnes Palmisano's performance as Dr. Falke. Palmisano, known as a Viennese dudler, gave the Fledermaus a unique touch. The role of Prince Orlofsky was cast with an exceptional voice: The soprano and countertenor Arno Raunigs caused astonishment in the audience. The young discovery Lena Stöckelle immediately captivated the audience with her youthful charm as Adele, while star dancer Florient Cador not only shone with his dancing skills, but was also convincing in the role of Prince Orlofsky's valet Ivan. The young ensemble of the Europaballett contributed to the overall success with ballet interludes. Together with pantomime Gerhard Hönigl as the cleaning lady, who provided hilarity in a delicate outfit, the dance interludes in the second part of the play offered a successful mixture of humor and elegance, choreographed by Michael Fichtenbaum.

Robert Kolar, who not only played the frog, but also embodied three characters (Dr. Blind, Ida and the frog), gave an outstanding performance. Kolar impressed with his enthusiasm and made the performance an enjoyable experience.
