Top-class opening weekend

St. Pölten's new open-air cultural venue "SommerTheaterPark" opened on 2 July with the baroque mystery Farinelli. The European and Sopron Ballet danced. The singing was provided by the brilliant countertenor Kevin Elsnig. Despite the onset of rain and low temperatures, the guests bravely persevered and showed stormy enthusiasm until the intermission. After that, the performance unfortunately had to be interrupted due to the weather situation. Another "Farinelli" event will take place on 10.7. The beautifully danced story of the famous castrato Farinelli, staged and choreographed by Peter Breuer and Artur Kolmakov.

On 3 July, the duo Johann & Eduard Kutrowatz, together with the Europaballett , whisked us away to "new worlds". Astor Piazzolla and George Gershwin were on the programme, which were artistically interpreted in high quality by the world-famous pair of brothers simultaneously on two Bösendorfer grand pianos.

Opera star Natalia Ushakova and the well-known Janoska Ensemble were rewarded for their performance on 4 July with a standing ovation and a sold-out event. They took the audience on a musical journey full of passion and breathtaking improvisation through the world of opera, with Natalia Ushakova particularly enchanting the audience with the title "LIED TO THE MOON". Certainly a highlight of this evening under a starry sky was the dance to the music of Leonard Cohen "Hallelujah" - this was the planned final dance at Dancing Stars. The Janoska Ensemble provided world-class music and thrilled the audience with musical passion.

Remaining places are still available if you also want to experience an artistically demanding evening on this new stage. You can expect the first ballet soloists from the Vienna State Opera with Maestro Igor Zapravdin at the piano, who will continue the festival round with scenes from the most beautiful ballet works such as "Swan Lake", "Sleeping Beauty" or "Bayadere".

The well-known musician and pianist Robert Lehrbaumer plays the most popular piano works by Mozart, Beethoven and other composers for you in a romantic atmosphere by candlelight. At the request concert of star entertainer Wolfgang Gratschmaier, all the wishes of the audience are fulfilled.
