A new cultural venue is being created in St. Pölten.
A place that invites you to linger on balmy summer nights as part of an exquisite cultural programme. With a focus on ballet, classical concerts and gala evenings and the security of an open-air theatre, St. Pölten's cultural scene is enlivened with this summer festival.
This fine summer series opens with a bang, the baroque mystery Farinelli. A story ballet that weaves the story of the famous castrato Farinelli in all its facets. With countertenor Kevin Elsnig, the Europaballett St. Pölten and the Sopron Ballet, a cultural treat in a class of its own. The following evening, the Duo Kutrowatz, also with the Europaballett, will take us to "New Worlds". Already on 4 July, opera star Natalia Ushakova, together with the Janoska Ensemble, invites you on a musical journey full of passion and breathtaking improvisation through the world of opera with instrumental excursions to the roots of music - in Janoska style. Artistic director Anastasia Irmiyaeva and cultural manager Philipp Preiss are convinced: "It is our concern to revive St. Pölten's cultural scene after such a long cultural abstinence and to offer a top-class programme." Michael Fichtenbaum, artistic director of the Europaballett: "This project lays the foundation for a new cultural focal point in St. Pölten. This is possible with the support of the municipality and the province of Lower Austria. The first ballet soloists from the Vienna State Opera and guests such as Robert Lehrbaumer or Wolfgang Gratschmaier are also guarantees for demanding evenings."
To do justice to the culinary arts, top caterer Christian Zwieselbauer creates fine indulgence packages that can be enjoyed on set-out tables between the seating groups.
