We start into a new season!
Traditionally with the autumn gala on 22 and 23.10.2020. Of course, like all other cultural operators, with reduced seating and a well thought-out prevention concept. Especially today, in these challenging times for the arts, our guiding principle is more important than ever: music in combination with dance can be understood without boundaries and connects people of all cultures. And yes, our offer is accepted, ballet enthusiasts are looking forward to finally being able to enjoy art again.
Under the direction of Michael Fichtenbaum, more than 30 dancers from 14 nations dance and give the company its international flair.
Choreographies in various styles by internationally renowned choreographers such as Renato Zanella, Artur Kolmakov, Peter Breuer and of course Michael Fichtenbaum make a diverse programme possible.
The production Madama Butterfly will be performed at the Vienna State Opera until January 2021. 11 dancers of the Europaballet followed the call of the Vienna State Opera and are part of this very demanding, grandiose opera.
But also in Lower Austria the Ballet 2020/2021 is represented at Thalheim Castle in addition to its home, the Theater des Balletts. Under the artistic direction of Anastasia Irmiyaeva, the audience is looking forward to a culturally demanding evening in October with Digital Ballet/Young Choreographers. For autumn 2020, the programme also includes performances in Baden and in the St. Pölten Festspielhaus with Ludwig van tanzt, a production to mark Beethoven's anniversary year and Stabat Mater in Sopron.
