We dance again

- The Europaballett St. Pölten opened the 2021/22 season with the Autumn Gala on 16 October.

Alfons Haider accompanied the European Ballet in a pointed and confident manner.
A full house and an audience that was visibly happy to finally be able to enjoy art again and thanked them with thunderous applause and true enthusiasm. Already during the second piece, the Egyptian March by Johann Strauss II, the ensemble successfully danced its way into the hearts of the audience.
Andrea Ayala, as the youngest member of the ensemble, mastered her baptism of fire brilliantly with a solo from Don Quixote.
True emotional enthusiasm was triggered by the piece Sto Perigiali, followed by the finale from Alexis Sorbas, which the audience followed with continuous applause. These pieces were dedicated to the life of Mikis Theodorakis. With scenes from Carmen, starring Mayara Vicoso and Florient Cador, the visitors experienced a preview of one of the new productions of 2022.

Florient Cador again excelled with new choreographies. With Crying in the Rain, danced by Rachael Carrier and Marco Marongiu, and Hikari, danced by Nichika Shibata and Florient Cador, he delivered true masterpieces.

The worthy conclusion of this evening came from the pen of choreographer Michael Kropf. With Maurice Ravel's Bolero, he brought this evening, which was an artistic powerhouse, to a dignified close.
